Test Tube Scrubber 2000
How it Works:
A high-speed
DC motor attached to a scrubbing brush is moved into place through three
stepper motors operating a gantry. One motor moves the gantry forward
an back, a second moves the scrubber side to side, while the third generates
the up & down motion.
Through computer
control, the user can enter which test tube(s) need scrubbing. The
computer program then generates the instructions necessary to move the
scrubber to the cleaning solution, dips the brush into the solution, and
then accurately locates the chosen test tubes to clean. After
the operation is carried out, the scrubber is returned to “home” position.
